Anjuman-I-Islam’s Akbar Peerbhoy College of Education organised a four-day Gandhi Jayanti Celebration 2026 under the theme “Swachhata Hi Seva 2026,” promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness and civic responsibility.
The celebration began on 30 September 2026 with “Know Gandhi – Experience His Ideas,” highlighting Mahatma Gandhi’s values of truth, non-violence, simplicity and service, followed by a pledge. On 3 October, activities such as Creative Corner, Swachh Campus Activity and E-Waste Collection Drive promoted waste management and sustainable living. On 5 October, student-teachers performed a Nukkad Natak titled “Gandhiji Returns,” spreading awareness about cleanliness, hygiene and civic responsibility. The celebration concluded on 6 October with a Cleanliness Drive and Nukkad Natak at Vashi Mini Sea Shore, involving student-teachers and faculty members in community awareness and action. The celebration inspired future teachers to practise Gandhian values and contribute towards a cleaner, greener and more responsible society.
