About Ourselves:

 We are a teacher training institution established in 1990, and located at Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Affiliated to the University of Mumbai, we are recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)and the Government of Maharashtra. We conduct a two years fulltime B.Ed. Degree Programme in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the University of Mumbai.

 We offer course and practical transaction in Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, and English. You may choose to specialize in the Pedagogy of Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit, History, Geography, Mathematics, Science, Economics or Commerce.

We help you to become a skilled teacher through intensive practical training complemented by classes on theory and tutorials.

Every student-teacher has access to the book bank facility wherein she/he receives an entire set of textbooks.

Each student-teacher is allocated a mentor who will help you to navigate the course successfully.

We provide student-teachers with a platform to participate in co-curricular activities both inhouse and in inter-collegiate festivals.

Our students have consistently secured ranks at the examinations conducted by the University of Mumbai.

At the completion of the course we aid in placement through our Campus Placement Initiative.

How can you enroll for the B.Ed. Programme?

You must first appear for the MAH- B. Ed. Course CET-2020 conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State, Mumbai. For details please refer to the official website: www.mahacet.org

Who is eligible for appearing in MAH – B.Ed. Course CET-2021? 

Eligibility Criteria:

Indian nationals from the State of Maharashtra who have completed:

• Bachelor’s Degree (3-year duration) and/or Master’s Degree with specialization in:

1. Science and Mathematics, or
2. Social Science, viz.  History/Geography/Economics/Political Science/Psychology/Philosophy/Education/Library Science, or

3. Humanities-Language and Literature, viz.,Marathi/Hindi/Urdu/Sanskrit/English, or

4. Commerce with minimum 50% marks if from Open Category and 45% marks if from the Reserved Category.

Or

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree with specialization in:

1. Engineering and Technology, or
2. Management, or
3. Computer Science, or
4. Law, or
5. Information Technology, or
6. Agriculture, or
7. Banking and Insurance, or
8. Medical Sciences, or
9. Other Social Sciences, Sociology/Anthropology/Social Work/ Journalism / Ancient History and Culture / Mass Media/ Heritage Management/ Labour Studies/Statistics/Home Science/Home Economics

10. Fine Art, or
11. Performing Art  with minimum 55% marks if from Open Category and 50% marks if from the Reserved Category.

Indian nationals from the rest of India as also J & K Migrants may please note that the minimum marks required is 55% irrespective of Category, Subjects or Faculty.

Total Intake : Total intake of the college is 100 students; 50 students in F.Y.B.Ed and 50 in S.Y.B.Ed. From the total admission 50% seats, are reserved for the Muslim Linguistic Minority Quota and remaining 50% seats are filled through the Centralized Admission Committee.

Eligibility for Admission :  As per Government norms

Admission Process : B. Ed. Admissions are conducted as per the norms of the Centralized Admission Committee, Directorate of Higher Education, and Government of Maharashtra with amendments issued from time to time. The aspiring candidates have to clear the B. Ed. Common Entrance Test conducted by the State Government.
The Minority admissions are conducted in accordance with the norms laid down by Government of Maharashtra, University of Mumbai and NCTE .The entire admission procedure including the CET is computerized and on the basis of merit as decided by the Centralized Admission Committee.  Hence there is minimal human interference which ensures equity and transparency in the entire admission process.
